
The City of Cambridge has announced a series of temporary street closures scheduled for the upcoming week due to public events including the Taste of Cambridge, the City Dance Party, and the Summer Classic 5K. These closures are expected to affect traffic across various neighborhoods.
According to the City of Cambridge website, tomorrow, the Taste of Cambridge will result in street closures from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Affected areas include Sidney Street between Green and Pacific Streets, as well as Franklin Street at Brookline Street and Lansdowne Street.
On Friday, the City Dance Party will take place in Central Square. Temple Street will close starting at 8:00 AM. Massachusetts Avenue will be closed between Prospect Street and Clinton Street. Additional closures include Inman Street, Bigelow Street, and Sellers Street from 3:00 PM until 12:00 AM.
On Sunday, the Summer Classic 5K will lead to rolling closures between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Streets affected include Sidney Street, Pacific Street, Albany Street, Massachusetts Avenue, Putnam Avenue, Brookline Street, and Franklin Street.
