Rescue teams from the Cambridge Fire Department responded to an incident on the Charles River yesterday after strong wind gusts overturned several small sailboats.

According to a Facebook post by the Cambridge Fire Department, the event occurred shortly after 4 p.m. Four individuals were rescued, and no injuries were reported.

Multiple emergency units responded, including Engine 2, Ladders 3 and 2, Rescue 1, Squad 2, and the Dive Rescue and Marine Units. Support was also provided by the Cambridge Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, and Pro EMS. The operation was coordinated by staff at the Cambridge Emergency Communications Center (ECC). Group 4 was on duty at the time.
