As summer rolls in, Carver County is gearing up to offer a nature-packed experience to the youth with their Biking Day Camp. Designed for those between 10 and 15 years old, the camp is scheduled for June 17 and 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., promising a two-day adventure along the local trails of Lions Park in Chaska. According to a recent post on Carver County Parks' Facebook page, the camp will feature an array of outdoor activities, including archery, geocaching, and slacklining, with a refreshing dip in the waters at Fireman’s Park.
For campers without their own bikes, the camp provides two-wheelers—but helmets are mandatory. At $80 per camper, the county strikes a balance between affordability and outdoor fun. With the camp starting next week, the parks department is urging early registration to help with planning. Interested participants can reserve their spot online through the link shared in Carver County Parks' Facebook post.
