The Catoosa County Sheriff's Office is actively seeking the public's assistance to identify two individuals connected to an alarming act of arson. On June 6, a residence on Prater Road became the target of a Molotov cocktail attack, causing significant property damage, FOX 5 Atlanta reports. Authorities were able to confirm the use of a homemade explosive, commonly known as a petrol bomb or firebomb.
In their quest to quickly apprehend these suspects, detectives have turned to surveillance footage that captured a vehicle stopping in front of the house. They observed a passenger exiting and then proceed to throw the destructive device at the home’s facade. While details on the make of the vehicle have not been disclosed, it has been described as a silver Honda Accord by Local 3 News. Information concerning injuries in the wake of the firebombing has not been released.
With the investigation ongoing, officials are extending a call for leads. Detective Clay Thompson, acting as the leading investigator on the case, is responsible for gathering information and is the point of contact for tips at the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office.
