A local artist's life was tragically cut short over the weekend following a hit-and-run incident on DuSable Lake Shore Drive in Lake View. Brendan Siddall, aged 26, known for their vibrant contributions to the music and theater scene in Chicago, was pronounced dead at the scene early Saturday, Chicago police and local reports confirmed. The motorist involved has yet to be located, as authorities continue their search for a white 2019 Honda Accord bearing the Illinois license plate FH49505.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the vehicle was last seen traveling northbound when it struck Siddall near the roadway around 3:30 a.m. Following the incident, northbound lanes were closed for an investigation by the police department’s major accidents unit. The report adds that Siddall was found unresponsive and was confirmed dead by the first responders present on site.
Remembered for their profound impact on the community, Siddall was a singer and leader in Chicago’s Gay Men’s Chorus, actively serving as president of the Membership Council.
