Fan safety emerged as a significant concern as reports of heat-related illness surfaced. "So we’ve been standing in line, and I don’t even know if we're standing in the right line or the wrong line," Mike Gomez told KFOX-TV after his wife was hospitalized due to heat exposure. Braving the wait, with temperatures peaking, fans were urged to come prepared, to stay hydrated, and take necessary precautions against the heat for the day following.
The Sun Bowl, playing host to the "Music of the Spheres World Tour," was set to open its doors at 5 p.m. for both concerts, inviting a cascade of Coldplay enthusiasts.
