The Collierville Burch Library will undergo system maintenance on June 11, resulting in temporary service limitations. During this time, patrons will be limited to checking out two items per library card. The library has also stated that accounts cannot be accessed using a driver’s license on that day, so patrons must present their physical library card to check out materials. These changes are part of scheduled maintenance intended to improve library systems, according to the Town of Collierville.
According to the library’s announcement, several services will be temporarily unavailable during the maintenance. Self check-out kiosks, the library’s app, select databases, and public computers will be out of service. Patrons are advised to plan accordingly and seek alternative resources for the day. The automated book return will also be unavailable, but materials can still be returned using the manual book slot. Wi-Fi access will remain available throughout the maintenance period.
While the scheduled maintenance may cause temporary inconvenience, the library emphasized that it is part of ongoing efforts to enhance patron services. “We appreciate your patience as we continue to improve your library!” the town's announcement stated. Patrons are encouraged to plan ahead for the one-day disruption and consider making use of non-digital resources during this time, as the upgrades are intended to support a better overall library experience.
