The accusations against Begley originate from incidents reported to have occurred between May and July of 2024, acts that involved minors from two different families who have since come forward, provided their harrowing accounts, which have consequently led to Begley's indictment by the Putnam County Criminal Court, as per a WKRN report. Officials, based on forensic interviews at the Upper Cumberland Child Advocacy Center and a July 17 search warrant served at a home on Scott Avenue in Cookeville, seized multiple electronic devices, a detailed examination of which, in coordination with the United States Secret Service, supported the claims made by the victims.
Upon the discovery and inspection of evidence, the Cookeville Police Department expressed gratitude for the inter-agency cooperation, with a statement to WSMV asserting, "Our agencies remain committed to thoroughly investigating all allegations of abuse and ensuring justice for the most vulnerable members of our community."
