
The City of Coral Springs is turning heads in the world of video and television excellence. They've snagged a collection of Telly Awards for their original videos, a coveted prize for creatives who excel on screens of all sizes, the city's four projects ranging from social media reels to educational campaigns have made a notable impact, bringing home both Silver and Bronze awards among a global array of over 13,000 entries, affirming the city's department stands shoulder to shoulder with industry powerhouses such as HBO and CBS, this according to an announcement on Coral Springs' official website.
Streaming with local flavor and flair, the "Downtown in December" video captured the Silver for its vertical social media montage of holiday cheer, while Bronze recognition went to "Taste the Heritage," a culinary nod to Caribbean-American Heritage Month, and two more Bronzes went to law enforcement's candid "Traffic Thursdays" and the informative "What's on the Truck Thursdays" from the Fire Department, these uniquely themed pieces offering residents a multifaceted glimpse into their city’s culture and services, and "These awards are a powerful reflection of the imagination, skill, and passion that drive our Communications and Marketing team," Lynne Martzall, the Executive Director overseeing strategic marketing and communications for Coral Springs, detailed the efforts of her team in a statement, obtained by the City of Coral Springs.
Notably, the city's Communications and Marketing Department team members were recognized individually for their roles in crafting the award-winning videos. Drew Walker, the Video Production Manager, Paula Rubiano, Digital Media Manager, and Brandon Laurent, Digital Content Creator, were among those honored, in addition to Ryan Himmel, the Public Safety Marketing Manager, Josh Berlant, Videographer/Editor, and Myriah Archer, Social Media Coordinator, All carving their names in the annals of the Telly Awards.
Established in 1979, The Telly Awards continues to honor the finest in video and television, judged by a council of over 200 industry experts, the Awards extend their reach across 50 states and five continents.
