DeKalb County police are investigating a shooting that occurred yesterday early morning on Pleasant Walk in Lithonia. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, one person was injured and taken to the hospital. The victim, whose identity has not been released, is expected to recover.
Details about the shooting remain limited. Authorities have not identified a suspect or determined a motive. There is no indication at this time that the incident is connected to other recent crimes.
As per 11Alive, the victim is a teenager. Police responded to the scene around 1:30 a.m. after receiving a call about the shooting.
In a separate incident, 11Alive also reported police activity on Piedmont Point Drive in Lithonia. It is unclear if this is connected to the Pleasant Walk shooting.
