The City of Denton Police Department made clear that, for the time being, "the site doesn’t show current inmates – well, no one is there right now!" This is because the City Jail cannot currently house inmates due to the construction work. In response, arrestees charged with offenses above a Class C misdemeanor are being directly booked into the Denton County Jail. Meanwhile, those nabbed for Class C misdemeanors, examples of which include public intoxication, find themselves being booked into the Flower Mound Jail.
