Over the weekend, an alarming incident occurred on Highway 61 near Lula, Mississippi, where a driver was rescued from a lake following a harrowing crash. The accident took place just after 11 p.m. last Saturday, and upon the arrival of first responders from the Coahoma County Fire Department, the vehicle was found off-road and in a body of water, with the driver already outside the car, nursing injuries that were sustained in the rollover, WREG reports.
The driver's escape from their precarious entrapment was aided by bystanders, who reportedly shattered the vehicle's driver's side window, a vital action that enabled them to free the individual from the wreckage, an event recounted by the fire department to FOX13 Memphis.
