The West Tennessee Drug Task Force recently executed a narcotics search warrant in Dyer County, unearthing a sizable haul of drugs, a loaded firearm, and a stash of cash, as announced in a social media post. The operation was carried out on Welch Road in the area's 2500 block.
Upon searching the residence on Wednesday, agents discovered nearly one-quarter pound of crack cocaine, liquid codeine, and roughly half a pound of marijuana. Accompanying the drugs was a loaded handgun and a shoebox containing $5,546 in cash. According to the West Tennessee Drug Task Force, taken into custody was a male felon, previously convicted, who is now facing numerous charges related to drugs and weapons.
The collaborative effort included agents from the 29th District, with assistance from Dyer County Sheriff's Office, Obion County Sheriff’s Office K-9, and Jackson Police SWAT. The District Attorney General for the 29th Judicial District, Danny Goodman Jr., will be prosecuting this case.
