
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office has put out a call for assistance in an attempted child kidnapping that unfolded earlier this week. According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred on Friday, June 20th, in the eastern part of unincorporated El Paso County, where a white male, appearing to be in his 20s or 30s, attempted to kidnap a child.
Officials described the suspect as having a thin build and short brownish-red hair, with light skin and standing at about 5 feet 7 inches tall, he also has a noticeable lack of facial hair and sports arm tattoos that are not full sleeves. He was last seen attired in a blue shirt paired with jeans and driving a white, newer model two-door pickup truck with an extended cab that features a gray and red interior.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office detailed the concerning series of events that took place between 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM in the area of Bradshaw Road and Highway 24, revealing that the suspect was spotted driving eastbound. In a fortunate turn of events, the child who was momentarily abducted managed to escape, finding safety once again after being returned to their family by the authorities.
Law enforcement is now urging anyone with information or who might have seen anything relevant to come forward to aid in the search for the implicated individual.
