The El Paso Police Department, in collaboration with Crime Stoppers of El Paso, is currently seeking assistance in apprehending two individuals connected to the theft of an estimated $10,000 worth of painting equipment. The theft occurred at the Highway 54 Self Storage facility, located at 11707 Dyer Street, as reported by CBS4 Local and echoed by other local news outlets. Both suspects remain at large.
On April 14, at approximately 2 p.m., the suspects arrived in a white, newer-model Kia SUV. After another customer left the storage facility, the suspects entered the premises and headed towards their victim's unit. As noted by KTSM, once inside the unit, suspects forcefully broke the lock and removed the valuable painting equipment.
Both suspects have been described by the police: A Hispanic male with a mustache, possibly sporting a beard or goatee, and a female with a heavy build, who was wearing a black hooded jacket, a blue blouse, and shorts. Furthermore, the getaway vehicle is noted to have had a spare tire on the front right side, hinting at recent or ongoing issues with the vehicle, as detailed by KVIA.
