Michael Garcia, a former United States Navy Hospital Corpsman, was sworn in to uphold the law and serve the community with a proven track record of service and valor. According to a recent post by Kennedale PD, Garcia has spent a decade active in the Navy, earning numerous commendations, including three Good Conduct Medals and a Joint Meritorious Unit Award.
After concluding his military tenure, Garcia turned his attention to the medical field initially, but soon found his calling in law enforcement. While pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice at Tarleton State University, he aims to complete his bachelor's while honing skills as a part of the Kennedale Police force. Officer Garcia is not only a veteran but also a family man with one child and another on the way. As per the department's social media post, Garcia enjoys family time and is an avid golfer seeking out courses across the DFW area.
The Kennedale community witnessed Officer Garcia's commitment first-hand, with friends and family travelling from as far as Tucson, Arizona, to attend his swearing-in ceremony.
