The city of Fort Lauderdale was abuzz as fans of the Florida Panthers hockey team took to the iconic Elbo Room bar to revel in the afterglow of a back-to-back Stanley Cup victory. According to WSVN, crowds began to assemble at 241 S. Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard last night, anticipating a celebration with the Panthers' players.

The championship festivities were kicked off in earnest when Panthers captain Alex Barkov made a surprise visit to the Elbo Room this morning, trophy in hand. "We were walking down the street, my dad was like ‘Yo lets go get some coffee’. All of a sudden they were yelling ‘Barkov, Barkov’ so we come sprinting by and he’s outside hoisting the Cup. He comes out of the car—he comes out for like a good minute, minute-and-a-half—and then he’s taking like interviews, he keep his door open and he’s talking with the fans for a good two minutes and then he closes it. And off into oblivion. I don’t know where he went. I’m not going to lie," a fan told WSVN.

Over at the prime beachfront location, as the party atmosphere continued to swell, some fans faced the harsh reality of day-to-day responsibilities. “I unfortunately have to work at 8:30a.m. but my boyfriend will be here all day and some of my friends will be here all day. That’s why I wanted an early morning start before work,” another fan explained in a statement obtained by WSVN.

Capturing the essence of the moment, the Florida Panthers celebrated their most recent triumph over the Edmonton Oilers with an emphatic 5-1 victory, securing the Stanley Cup for the second consecutive year. As dawn gave way to a new day, the much-coveted Stanley Cup was seen arriving at the Elbo Room, nestled in a black SUV, details of which are shared by the Miami Herald.

The party isn't slated to stop at the Elbo Room, as preparations for a championship parade are already in the works. The parade is expected to trace a familiar path down A1A and Riomar Street, just like the previous year. Fans are encouraged to take part in the parade festivities, a continuation of the triumphant communal spirit invoked by the Panthers' historic win.
