Peoria's dining scene is set to diversify with the upcoming opening of the Four Corners Taphouse, a new venture by Westside Concepts that pledges to serve as an "elevated" sports bar experience. The taphouse is expected to start welcoming patrons on June 23 at the 24762 N. Lake Pleasant Pkwy. location, according to a recent report by ABC15.
In the heart of Peoria, nestled just south of Happy Valley Road, Four Corners Taphouse is making its home in a 4,400-square-foot space that formerly housed Haymaker. The latter, also a Westside Concepts' establishment, has moved, paving the way for this new iteration of leisure and libation. Joey Lucidi, the owner of Westside Concepts, expressed excitement for the project, "We’ve been wanting a local sports bar and taphouse for years," Lucidi said in a statement shared by ABC15, "Moving Haymaker gave us the perfect opportunity to make it happen, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out." Lucidi's vision is clear; he's positioning Four Corners as the new hub for major sporting events and social gatherings.
Further details provided by Phoenix Business Journal have not yet disclosed specifics regarding the menu or beer selection expected at Four Corners. However, the use of "elevated" to describe the taphouse suggests an attempt to rise above the traditional sports bar fare. With Westside Concepts' history of creating popular neighborhood spots, it's likely the forthcoming establishment will offer a refined twist on classic pub food and an array of craft beers.
Westside Concepts seems to be seizing an opportunity to fill a niche within the community, and if past successes are any indication, Four Corners Taphouse may well become a local favorite. Peorians, therefore, have a few days of anticipation left before they can see how the bar "turns out." With the grand opening just around the corner, sports enthusiasts and casual diners alike may soon have a new venue to frequent during game nights and special occasions.
