Last night, the quiet of F Street in Galt was disrupted by the sharp crack of gunfire, leaving a 19-year-old man wounded but, fortunately, alive. The Galt Police Department reported to the scene around 9:30 p.m., where they discovered the young adult male with at least one gunshot injury. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, with expectations set on a full recovery.
The suspected shooter remains at large, having vanished into the night before officers arrived, prompting an ongoing search by local authorities; the Galt Police Department's announcement via Facebook post. At this time, there is no indication of an ongoing threat to our community.
