Michael Pratt, owner of the infamous GirlsDoPorn website, has entered a guilty plea to multiple charges of sex trafficking, marking the latest development in a harrowing saga of deception and exploitation. Pratt, who had been on the run for over three years before being nabbed in Spain and extradited to the States, faced the legal music in the Southern District of California. The U.S. Attorney's Office detailed how Pratt, along with his accomplices, used a mix of force, fraud, and coercion to recruit hundreds of young women, many just barely out of high school, under the false promise that their filmed exploits would stay private and off the internet.
The operation, running from 2012 to 2019, was a lucrative machine, pulling in millions of viewers and dollars through two websites, GirlsDoPorn and GirlsDoToys. Pratt, who cooked up the concept for these sites, and his staff advertised on free porn hubs like PornHub.com to lure potential subscribers, despite knowingly lying to their models about the intended use and exposure of the content. They preyed upon their targets' naivety and trust, building a business on the pillars of deceit and empty assurances that none would see the repercussions of their participation, assurances that were bald-faced lies.
Pratt's scheme unfolded alongside co-defendants, each playing a role in this twisted production. Matthew Wolfe managed the websites, Ruben Andre Garcia played the male lead and recruiter, while Theodore Gyi and Valorie Moser rounded up the operation. According to court documents, girls were given counterfeit assurances, hurried through signings of unread contracts, and threatened with lawsuits and public exposure if they dared back out.
