This Boca Raton event, scheduled for 10 a.m., follows on the heels of legislative actions DeSantis undertook aimed at aiding Floridians grappling with mental health and substance use disorders, as outlined by Local 10; this additionally comes a day after he responded to concerns regarding "Alligator Alcatraz," a term coined by Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier for the migration detention plan at an airport which DeSantis argued saying "This thing's been used a bunch of times over many, many years, and so the impact will be zero and that’s in keeping with our policy to do historic Everglades restoration."
