Gov. Tina Kotek has tapped Colleen F. Gilmartin for the Clackamas County Circuit Court, a move filling the void left by Judge Kathie Steele's impending retirement. Gilmartin's new role comes effective June 30, the governor's office shared earlier today.
Gilmartin, who has been wielding the gavel as a judge pro tem since 2018, is not unfamiliar with the courthouse's rhythm, she has steered the juvenile court, guided the community court, and heard adult civil commitment cases. Before donning the judge's robe, Gilmartin prosecuted cases for the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office, honing her legal expertise over a span of 15 years.
Her appointment renews the bench's commitment to experienced legal leadership in Clackamas County.
