The Hawaiʻi State Art Museum will feature an exhibit called "The Spark Within" from July 1 to July 25. According to the Hawaii SFCA, The show highlights public school art teachers in Hawaiʻi and displays their artwork. The exhibit will be held at the Capitol Modern on the museum’s second floor, Turnaround Gallery.
The museum will be closed during the day on July 4 for the holiday, but will open at 5:00 p.m. for the opening reception of "The Spark Within." The event runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with live music and free admission for all ages. It will also be part of the First Friday artwalk, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.
The exhibition "The Spark Within" offers a chance to see the artistic work of Hawaiʻi’s public school art teachers. These educators, who typically teach composition, color theory, and critique during the school day, will display their own artwork for the public to view and appreciate.
