On Sunday in Hercules, the routine check of a parked vehicle spiraled into a substantial drug bust at a local Home Depot parking lot. Hercules Police Department, through their social media channels, announced the seizure of drugs after an officer encountered two individuals, a male and a female from Clearlake, seated in a Black Dodge Dakota.
The stop, which took place at 2:06 PM, led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia. This discovery prompted a thorough search of the vehicle, during which the officer uncovered a cache of illegal substances. According to the Hercules Police Department, suspected Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Crack Cocaine were found in the vehicle and on the persons of the individuals, the combined weight reaching approximately 57.6 grams.
The vehicle's fate was a tow to Bay Area Towing, and while the female was cited and subsequently released on her signed promise to appear before the court, her male counterpart did not share the same fortune. He was transported to jail, presumably pending charges for the possession of the substances found. Details on the nature of the initial officer engagement with the vehicle or the specific charges both individuals face have not been shared publicly.
