
In a coordinated operation targeting drug activity in Holyoke, local police and partner agencies arrested ten individuals and seized heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, and cash, according to the Holyoke Police Department Facebook post.
The operation took place on Wednesday, involving members of the Holyoke Police Narcotics Task Force, the DEA, Massachusetts State Police, the Hampden District Attorney’s SAFE Unit, and the ATF. Officers focused on areas known for open-air drug sales.
According to Holyoke Police Chief Brian Keenan, Antoine Diaz was arrested after a traffic stop led to the discovery of cocaine. Surveillance in Soucy Park also led to the arrest of Diaz, Juan Carlos Llorens-DeJesus, and Maria Gonzalez for drug-related offenses.
On Sargeant Street, officers observed Steven Devers attempting to discard heroin and fentanyl from a fourth-floor location. He and others now face charges including drug possession and intent to distribute.
Juan Carlos Llorens-DeJesus, 38, was charged with distribution and possession with intent to distribute Class A and B drugs.
