A tow truck driver in Horn Lake was critically injured while attempting to repossess a vehicle, leading to a police search for the shooter, 26-year-old Marshun Colbert from Memphis, Tennessee. According to Action News 5, the incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. yesterday in a parking lot on Interstate Boulevard. The situation escalated into a verbal altercation and ended with Colbert firing a single shot at the driver.
The driver, employed by All Star Recovery, managed to reach the hospital by himself but was then transferred to another facility. The victim remains in critical but stable condition, which points to the severity of the event but also his will to survive. The truck was able to drive away from the scene, and as a result, the vehicle being repossessed fell from the lift and onto its side, said the police. FOX13 Memphis reports that a woman had climbed into the vehicle during the repossession and was inside when it tipped over. She was taken to the hospital and later discharged in a stable condition.
The Horn Lake Police Department has issued a felony warrant for aggravated assault against Colbert, considering him "armed and dangerous," as per Darkhorse Press Now.
