A Miami man wanted by ICE was apprehended after a chase that ended in Plymouth’s historic Vine Hills Cemetery. According to the Plymouth Police Department, ICE agents attempted to contact the individual at a residence on Chapel Hill Drive when he fled, prompting a pursuit.
As per the Town of Plymouth Facebook page, the suspect drove into Vine Hills Cemetery, where his vehicle damaged multiple headstones before being abandoned. ICE agents did not follow the car into the cemetery but later found it among the damaged gravesites. Plymouth Police took over the crash investigation.
Within an hour, ICE agents located the suspect hiding in nearby brush and took him into custody. Plymouth Police stated that they will continue to investigate the vehicle crash and potential charges related to property damage.
