
The Jefferson Parish Library system will host two culinary demonstrations in June. Chef Nora Wetzel will prepare southern French dishes, including pansotti and oriettes, at the West Bank Regional Library and River Ridge Library, according to the Jefferson Parish.
On June 24 at 6:30 p.m., the West Bank Regional Library at 2751 Manhattan Blvd. will host a session on making pansotti, a ricotta and herb stuffed ravioli, and oriettes, a fried pastry. Elizabeth Pearce from the educational program "Drink and Learn" will present on punch making and its history in American drinking culture. The event is free, open to the public, and does not require reservations. Samples will be provided, but no full meals will be served. Alcohol will not be served to anyone under 21, as stated by the Jefferson Parish.
Sessions are scheduled for June 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the River Ridge Library, located at 8825 Jefferson Highway in River Ridge.
