Drivers and commuters in Jefferson Davis Parish should prepare for a full closure on LA 380. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced that, starting June 16, the section of LA 380 between Byler Road and Jenuis Road will be closed for a cross-drain replacement project. The closure is expected to continue through June 27, though the timeline may be extended depending on weather conditions. According to the DOTD, the work is necessary to ensure the safe replacement of existing infrastructure.
Detour routes will be in place to help drivers navigate around the construction area and minimize disruptions to local traffic as much as possible. Motorists traveling west on LA 380 can take a detour via LA 14 westbound, then LA 99 northbound. Those traveling east on LA 380 can detour by taking LA 99 southbound, then LA 14 eastbound.
