Over three years have passed since the unresolved murder of 18-year-old Nasr Midian Kahenti Atun El Bebley-Calvin, an entourage member of Atlanta rapper ColdHeartedSavage, and LaGrange police are renewing their call for public assistance, as reported by WSB-TV. On the evening of April 23, 2022, El Bebley-Calvin was fatally shot in a drive-by incident on Lafayette Parkway while traveling in a vehicle returning from Club TRU in LaGrange where the rapper had performed police have found no breaks in the case, officials say with detectives now hoping for witnesses to bring forward any potentially crucial details that have so far eluded the investigation.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the LaGrange Police Department emphasizes that even seemingly minor information may prove instrumental in obtaining justice for the victim and closure for his family and loved ones. The department has made no arrests, despite initial connections revealed in the investigation to the music label 4pf, also known as 4 Pockets Full, which at the time had associations with criminal street gang activity in Atlanta this label has since been rebranded to Glass Window Entertainment in an effort to distance from the gang affiliations.
Formerly backed by Atlanta rapper Lil Baby, the label underwent considerable transformation with the closure of 4 Pockets Full, and its subsequent relaunch as Glass Window Entertainment in 2023, as pointed out by Lil Baby's own appearance on rapper Lil Yachty’s “A Safe Place Podcast,” as detailed by WSB-TV. While the label's transformation has no direct tie to the investigation, its past could potentially hold keys to solving El Bebley-Calvin's tragic murder.
The LaGrange Police Department urges anyone in possession of relevant information, no matter how seemingly inconsequential, to step forward and contact Lt. Wynne at 706-883-2620 as detectives have stated that someone who may have witnessed the incident would have critical information that could lead to a breakthrough in the case, though the assailant has remained unidentified since the shooting occurred more than three years ago.
