Authorities are on the lookout for a white Honda Odyssey or a vehicle resembling a minivan or SUV, believed to be involved in the tragic shooting death of a teenager. The Las Cruces Police Department has taken to social media and press releases, hoping that the public will help in locating the suspect. The shooting, which occurred on the night of June 2nd near Solano Drive and Spruce Avenue, ended the young life of 14-year-old Alejandro Roman, who was a backseat passenger in an automobile when the incident, brought on by road rage, unfolded.
As the investigation proceeds, police have issued two images of the suspect’s vehicle. A tip from a watchful citizen might provide the clue that law enforcement desperately needs to solve this case. In their release, the Las Cruces Police mentions that information leading to an arrest could merit a reward, offered by Crime Stoppers of Las Cruces-Dona Ana County.
The vehicle in question was last seen on the evening that the shooting occurred. With the community reeling from the loss of young Alejandro, officials are urging anyone with relevant information to step forward. "Anyone who has information on who might be responsible for the deadly shooting is asked to call police at (575) 526-0795", as stated by the Las Cruces Police Department.
