A fatal crash occurred in Dracut on Tuesday when a scooter collided with a vehicle, resulting in the death of a Lowell man. According to NBC Boston, the incident happened around 3:44 p.m. on Route 110, prompting a response from local police and fire departments.
Boston 25 News reported that first responders arrived to find a bystander performing CPR on the scooter operator. Emergency personnel continued lifesaving efforts, and the individual was transported to Lowell General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim was identified as 43-year-old Michael Lacrosse of Lowell.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Lacrosse was traveling westbound on his scooter when he crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with a vehicle driven by a woman from Methuen. Her identity has not been released. She remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by Dracut Police, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, and the Massachusetts State Police.
