The victim was identified as 43-year-old Michael Lacrosse of Lowell.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Lacrosse was traveling westbound on his scooter when he crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with a vehicle driven by a woman from Methuen. Her identity has not been released. She remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
