Early Friday morning, an incident involving a discharged firearm took place on a CTA bus traveling through Chicago's West Town, resulting in one man being taken into custody. WGN-TV reports that around 1:30 a.m., at the 1400 block of North Ashland Avenue, a 34-year-old passenger discharged a weapon for reasons not yet disclosed by the authorities. The gunshot prompted the bus to halt abruptly, and the armed man allegedly fled the scene immediately afterward.
Chicago police, reacting quickly to the event, pursued and arrested the suspect shortly after he escaped from the bus.
