
Violence flared up in Atlanta over the weekend as a 35-year-old man was left fighting for his life after sustaining gunshot wounds. The Atlanta Police Department reported that officers were dispatched to 590 Manford Road SW last Saturday, following reports of a person shot.
The incident took place around 8:44 PM, and while the specifics are still unclear, the police revealed the altercation began at 2461 Metropolitan Parkway SW. The victim was able to get himself to Atlanta Fire Rescue Station 20, where he sought medical assistance. Currently, the Aggravated Assault Unit is delving into this matter, as the investigation is active.
According to the official report by the Atlanta Police Department, the male victim was transported to a local hospital after being found with "apparent gunshot wounds to his chest." Despite the severity of the situation, he remained "alert, conscious, breathing." As of now, the Aggravated Assault Unit urges anyone with information on the shooting to come forward.
