According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded around 5:35 PM to 276 Joseph E Lowery Blvd NW, where they found a 62-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
Preliminary information indicates that the incident began when the victim, while making a turn, exchanged words with another driver. The situation escalated, leading to the shooting. After being shot, the victim crashed into a nearby vacant home.
