Violence erupted on a southwest Atlanta street when a man was found shot several times on Wednesday afternoon. According to the Atlanta Police Department, at around 4:54 p.m. on June 11, police were called to 2600 Hapeville RD SW., where they discovered a male victim with three gunshot wounds to his lower abdomen.
The unidentified man was in a severe state, not alert but still breathing when the authorities arrived. He was quickly transported to a local hospital to receive medical treatment. The exact motive and circumstances of the shooting remain unclear, as investigators with the aggravated assault unit began probing into the events that led to the incident.
