Atlanta's streets became a tableau of violence yesterday, when officers responded to a reported stabbing at the intersection of W Peachtree St NE and North Ave NE. According to a statement from the Atlanta Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 5:04 p.m. and left a 46-year-old man with multiple stab wounds.
The victim was found alert and breathing and was promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment. According to the preliminary investigation, the incident may have originated from a verbal altercation between unidentified individuals.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the event and working to determine how the situation escalated.
