The City of Mansfield, Texas, is inviting locals to a community event focused on the twin themes of enjoying the Fourth of July responsibly while safeguarding our furry friends during the festive pyrotechnics. Named the Spark Smart Event, the gathering aims to educate citizens about firework safety, provide tips on pet protection during what can be a traumatic time for animals, and foster a greater sense of community connection. The event will take place on Wednesday, July 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Public Safety Building located at 1305 East Broad Street.
As an added incentive, attendees can look forward to a complimentary hotdog lunch, though it’s important to note that these are available only while supplies last. According to the City of Mansfield's social media post, this is also an opportunity to connect with local service heroes, including firefighters, police officers, as well as representatives from the Court, Animal, and Code Teams. The post highlights, "Enjoy a FREE hotdog lunch, while supplies last, and cuddle up with some sweet puppies!" capturing both the community spirit and the pet-friendly focus of the event.
Community members will have the chance to meet and potentially adopt some adorable puppies looking for homes.
