
The MBTA Transit Police are reaching out to the community in an effort to identify a person of interest involved in a recent unprovoked attack on an elderly man. According to their social media post, a 78-year-old male was struck in the face with a closed fist at the Charles/MGH station on June 6, around 4 p.m.

Details about the assailant remain limited. Transit authorities are requesting that anyone with information about the incident contact them. The incident occurred in broad daylight and drew attention from nearby commuters. The MBTA is seeking public assistance and has stated that individuals can provide information anonymously by contacting their Criminal Investigations Unit at 617-222-1050.
