Medford residents and commuters should prepare for upcoming lane and road closures starting tomorrow to July 3, due to a series of infrastructure projects. According to the City of Medford’s official website, work will include gas utility upgrades, fiber installation, tree trimming, and road resurfacing, affecting multiple locations throughout the city.
The intersection of McAndrews Road and Crater Lake Avenue will experience lane reductions in all directions during nighttime hours on Wednesday and Thursday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., as Canyon Pipeline conducts gas utility work for Avista. Ervin Cable Construction will carry out fiber installation on Brookdale Avenue between tomorrow and the end of the month, with daytime traffic managed by flaggers.
Tree trimming by Asplundh will impact East Main Street and Spring Street starting tomorrow to July 3, requiring shoulder work and periodic lane closures. One Way Trigger will also perform road and lane closures on Crater Lake Avenue between today and Friday during nighttime hours.
Slurry seal work will affect Merriman Road (from Table Rock Road to Beal Lane) between Wednesday and Tuesday next week, involving nightly flagging operations and temporary parking restrictions. Additional locations include Table Rock Road, W. Main Street, Front Street, and Ivy Street, all part of a broader resurfacing effort.
Steward Avenue, from S. Oakdale Avenue to S. Peach Street, is scheduled for nighttime closures from Tuesday next week to the end of the month for resurfacing by One Way Trigger. All scheduled work is weather-dependent and may be subject to change. The city advises motorists to follow posted signs, plan alternate routes, and expect delays.
