As the summer heat begins to grip Medford, local families are encouraged to dive into water safety, quite literally. Medford Parks and Recreation is gearing up for its free Water Safety Day event, scheduled for the upcoming Thursday, June 26, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m at RogueX. This educational bash aims to empower swimmers of all skill levels with the know-how needed to navigate the water responsibly. Attendees can expect interactive demonstrations, hands-on safety workshops, and an assortment of engaging activities.
The day is built around an invaluable core of safety lessons. Children and guardians alike can learn essential water safety skills, ensuring the splashy leisure of summer is twinned with the prudence of survival and rescue principles. Plus, RogueX’s splash pad will be open and free for all during the event, as reported by the city's official news announcement.
