
An officer-involved shooting occurred on the evening of June 13, when Memphis police officers encountered a suspicious vehicle. The incident, which took place at the intersection of Park Avenue and Grand Street at approximately 9:50 p.m., began when police approached a Nissan Armada on foot and the driver allegedly struck one of the officers, prompting another officer to fire shots at the vehicle, according to the Memphis Police Department.
The aftermath of the confrontation led to the driver of the Nissan Armada being critically injured and the officer who was hit being sent to Regional One in non-critical condition, the vehicle was also involved in a subsequent collision with another car whose driver received treatment at Baptist East and was later released.
