According to WREG, 12-year-old Malcolm Barnes Jr. and his 19-month-old sister, Bella McCoy, have been missing since 1:15 p.m. The children were last observed in the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue.
WREG reported that Malcolm and Bella are believed to have been taken by Cameron McCoy and Malcolm Barnes Sr., traveling without the consent of their mother. Police suspect the group could be making their way to North Carolina.
A City Watch has been issued for the missing children, as noted by Action News 5, alerting citizens to be on the lookout for the siblings.
Further details released by police include a description of Malcolm Brooks Jr., who stands at 4 feet tall and weighs about 80 pounds, with a medium complexion.
