Just last week, a seemingly routine day at Fulmer Hardware on Lamar Avenue was disrupted by an act all too common in our city's narrative: an auto burglary. The Memphis Police Department reported that the incident took place on Wednesday, June 18, around 8 in the morning. The culprit, caught on video surveillance, made away with a debit card before disappearing into the urban sprawl, leaving behind a trail of transactions at various gas stations across the city.
According to the Memphis Police Department's release, the suspect is described as a Black male between the ages of 25 and 35. He was last seen clad in a white shirt adorned with blue writing, blue jeans, and a pair of black and white Jordans. Distinguishing him further, tattoos were visibly marked on both forearms and his neck.
The Memphis Police, in their ongoing effort to close the case, have put out a call for any witnesses or individuals with relevant information to come forward. They've established a line at Crime Stoppers (528-CASH) where tips can be anonymously submitted.
