Andre Scott, a 19-year-old rapper from Memphis, was arrested in connection to a shooting that occurred on May 18 at a gas station in Frayser. Police responded to the Thirsty Gas on Range Line Road and found Keyshun Thomas with a gunshot wound. Thomas later died at the hospital, according to Action News 5.
The investigation identified Scott, also known as YNC TraiSlime, after his fingerprints were found on a soda case at the crime scene. He was charged with first-degree murder during a robbery. The second suspect, Robert Mitchell, 23, also known as Boo Two Gunz, is still at large, as reported by FOX13 Memphis.
During the incident, the suspects robbed a man at gunpoint and exchanged gunfire with the victims. Scott was seen placing both hands on a case of Sprite before leaving the scene. The case was seized and tested for fingerprints, which matched Scott, who was also identified by the victim in a photo lineup. Scott is currently in custody and scheduled for a court appearance on Wednesday, as mentioned by WREG. Authorities are still searching for the second accomplice.
