According to a recent report by the City of Milton's website, the GFOA awarded Milton with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award, an honor that underscores the city’s dedication to serving as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communications device, this recognition reflects a comprehensive assessment by the GFOA, which scrutinizes municipalities’ budget documents for quality and clarity in presentation of strategic goals and performance measures; Milton’s "Budget Book" can be reviewed through the city’s official website.
The document earned perfect scores for its strategic goals and performance measures from the association's reviewers, marking the second consecutive year the city has been honored in these specific categories.
