A man was fatally shot early this morning in Mt. Orab, and a suspect is now in custody, local authorities have confirmed. The incident occurred at a residence on Brookshire Way, where police responded to a 911 call at around 3:32 AM.
According to the information given by the Mt. Orab Police Department, officers arrived at the scene to find 20-year-old Ryan Reinecke outside the residence. Inside the home, 39-year-old Gary Teetor was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of EMS staff, Teetor was pronounced dead at the scene. In the wake of these events, Reinecke was taken to the Brown County Adult Detention Center.
The investigation into the shooting is active and ongoing. The local authorities are working closely with both the Brown County Coroner's Office and the Brown County Prosecutor's Office. Officials have not yet disclosed a motive or the circumstances leading up to the shooting. The community has been left shaken by the sudden violence in their midst.
