
A late-night shooting in Moreno Valley has left six individuals injured, according to reports from local authorities. The CBS News Los Angeles reports that the Riverside County Sheriff's Office responded to a call at approximately 10:17 p.m. in the parking lot located at the 12100 block of Orchid Lane. First responders found five victims, all suffering injuries from gunfire, and those victims are now hospitalized in critical condition.
Additionally, NBC Los Angeles reports that a sixth person, arriving at the hospital with a gunshot wound later, was connected to the same incident. Despite hearing multiple gunshots in the area, deputies, having searched the vicinity following the shooting, have not made any arrests as of yet. The circumstances surrounding the violence remain unclear, with the investigation ongoing.
A social gathering on the night of the incident is where the shooting purportedly occurred, indicated by the Riverside Sheriff's Department. In a statement obtained by the Riverside Sheriff's official website, the deputies arrived on the scene to find multiple young males ranging from 14 to 18 years of age with life-threatening injuries due to gunshot wounds near Hemlock Avenue and Orchid Lane. The deputies provided medical aid before transporting the victims for emergency care.
