
A silver Volvo sedan was involved in two separate crashes in Manchester, New Hampshire, yesterday afternoon, leaving multiple people injured, including two children with life-threatening injuries.
According to the Manchester Police Facebook post, the incident began around 4:00 p.m. when police received reports of gunfire, followed by a vehicle versus pedestrian crash at Lake Avenue and Belmont Street. Officers arrived to find that two children had been struck and seriously injured.
Shortly afterward, a second crash involving the same silver Volvo occurred at the intersection of Belmont and Hanover Streets, resulting in injuries to another driver. The driver of the Volvo also sustained minor injuries.
Police apprehended a male suspect seen walking away from the second crash. He has been charged with felony-level Driving While Intoxicated.
The Manchester Police are actively investigating both collisions and are asking witnesses or anyone with information to contact the department’s Traffic Unit at 603-668-8711.
