Yesterday in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, an attentive police officer's routine patrol ended with the arrest of a wanted Nashville woman. WSMV reported that the Mt. Juliet Police Department (MJPD) officer noticed a vehicle with a license plate identifying the driver as a person with outstanding warrants.
The 23-year-old driver had been sought after since December 20, 2023, for serious charges that included two counts of felony aggravated child abuse involving a child under the age of 8, and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The officer stopped the suspect after confirming the driver's identity and the warrants in question.
According to WKRN, the woman was taken into custody without incident following the vehicle stop. The arrest not only resolved the individual's evasive status but also emphasized the diligence of the MJPD in maintaining the safety of their community.
"This arrest is a strong reminder of the vigilance and proactive work our officers demonstrate every day to keep Mt. Juliet safe," the MJPD communicated through a social media post shared by the Mt. Juliet Police Department.
